Saturday, April 28

I apologize for the delay between entries, but due to my semi-crappy report card my life is officially over until June. I won't be updating as much. Maybe once a week, but that's not that big a switch.
Since the 'Robert Sledge Fans Unite' page has been dead for quite some time, I'll try to make a temporary replacement. Click here and here and here(the disco diva clip) and here and, my personal favourite, here. (Robert on Ben's piano...heehee...)
Also, for the Darren fans there's here (here in particular) and here. That last one was not only for the incredible selection of lyrics, but for the very flattering picture of the boys on the index page. Well, except for Ben.

Sunday, April 22

Well I'm going insane, and I'm laughing at the frozen rain, I feel like I'm so alone, honey when they gonna send me home?
Yesterday is the day I realized how great the The Push Stars really are.
Yesterday is also the day I began to develop an appreciation for Steely Dan cover songs.
Finally, yesterday was the day...I, uh, did my algebra homework and listened to Maroon. Links enough?

Saturday, April 21

I have a brand shpankin new Roots watch and more homework than I can possibly ignore.
The janitors are out on our school's front lawn playing golf, flying kites and chugging beers Monday through Friday. We can't eat on school property. I can only see my classmates (not that many of them are that fun to hang out with anyway) twice a week. I'm losing my mind.

Thursday, April 19

I'm getting a new watch today. My old one is beat up beyond belief. I was thinking of getting a Baby-G but my mom isn't willing to shell out a hundred bucks for a big lump of plastic. Guess she's right.
Guster invades Pontiac tonight. At eight o clock sharp I plan to hole myself up in my room, throw on my copy of Lost & Gone Forever and mope in general.'They're probably playing Happy Frappy right now...'
I'd also like to take this opportunity to wish Jerkboy Chris a happy birthday. Send him some mail and freak him out.
My friends and I have been sending each other enough email postcards to choke a horse (if that's even possible)...Beatgreets is a good place to start.

Monday, April 16

My brother singlehandedly made Easter suck. By screaming...and screaming...and not letting up. Still, the sugar high made all the badness go away.
Two words to describe Phantom Planet: all hail.

Saturday, April 14

Thankfully, my lousy mood from (wow!) four days ago has subsided. Partially because I can now declare my love for scrawny pale guys in webring form. Heck yeah!
I've been wasting precious time on Neopets. You should too.

Tuesday, April 10

I feel really drained. More emotionally than anything else...kind of like the world's just given me a big, fat slap across the face. My back aches, my legs feel like lead, and I just want to throw myself on my bed and weep like heck. Were you expecting something more cheerful?
Go to Shockwave and play Fat Boy Raids The Cookie Factory or Loop or whatever. Have more fun than I am right now, which shouldn't be hard.

Sunday, April 8

How many country singers does it take to screw in a light bulb?
Three - one to screw it in, and two to write a song about how great the ol' light bulb was.
I scare myself sometimes. I get to babysit the wonderful Campbell kids*** down the street tomorrow morning...and Wednesday...and Thursday. Thirteen hours total. Wanna know the dumb part? I decided that I needed community service hours worse than I needed money. And the Campbells usually pay really well...and I haven't had a babysitting job since practically Christmas.
No links today, kids.

***wonderful Campbell kids = Ritalin brats from Hell

Saturday, April 7

I swore to myself I'd never become a mall rat...yet here I am, a poor innocent thirteen-year old, going to cruise the mall for the third time in a week. Pinch me, I must have no life. Of course, it is a Saturday, and the janitors are all striking anyway...I'm pretty sure the picketers had a good laugh at me when I went over to my school to get homework. It's a long and rather painful story. Don't ask, just know that I will have no hesitation over crossing a picket line again.
Air guitar in public could be happening in your, yes, your hometown. Are you aware of the dangers?

Thursday, April 5

Thanks to my friend Katie (not to be confused with the Katie I linked to on Sunday) I can now play the intro to 'What's My Age Again' on the keyboard. I've also been visiting musicnotes and downloading half the free BNL sheet music I can get my hands on. I've already mastered the first page of 'Off The Hook'...the fact that I no longer have a piano could be something of a setback here.
And the other day I got back in touch with my eleven-year-old self and watched my Hanson tour video...twice. (Just how does Taylor do it? He sings, plays, stomps, jumps up and down, AND does it all while looking cute, albeit girlishly cute. Now that's talent.) And he's got a sweet sense of style. I was sitting there in front of the TV going 'Dude, I would so wear that.'

Monday, April 2

Hey, thanks to everybody who rated me on bloghop. Constructive criticism is useful stuff.
The day's adventures consisted of me hanging out with my younger sisters and my dad's choir buddy's granddaughter at the park. We organized a soccer game with total strangers, and I got my butt whipped by a horde of seven-year-olds. I can't play goalie.
I bet all you guys out there knew this already, but...

Sunday, April 1

One more thing: go visit Katie. I never saw anyone do grayscale that cool.
Interesting things that happened within the past 24 hours:
I went to see, uh, Spykids, which was actually pretty cool. More gadgets than you can stick a shake at.
April is now upon us. Now let's see if Mother Nature decides to catch up with the calendar...it's still freezing here in Canada. (I want to stress southern Canada.)
The janitors of our school board are still on strike, so I'll be able to sift through my geography assignments before they drag us back to school.
