It's great finding cool people over the Internet. I bet you all were aware of this already, but it's something I haven't done lately, so It's kind of a thrill.
The aforementioned cool person is the webmaster of jish.nu, who also runs the webloggers webring. Look over on the left side of the page. See that thing that says 'webloggers'? See that? Right there. So after I joined, my page was looked over for that code, and I recieved an email of confirmation along with another note that read simply 'You have good taste in music. :-)' I took a look at jish.nu, and right there on the front page was a review of a Guster/Great Big Sea concert, both of whom are listed right underneath my webloggers link.
You're the man, Jish dude.
Oh, gord...I'm finally happy with the new 'look'. I don't know if anybody visited the site this morning...I sure as hell hope they didn't...there was a big graphic header across the top of the page that I tried linking through my Chez.com account, and it didn't load. So I made a Geocities account and tried it. The graphic wouldn't show. So I finally just typed the bloody header...and thankfully got it out of the way.
The sound of the moment is Kevin Hearn.

And if my mind hadn't been sufficiently blown last night by great writing, Jack of saturn.org and Jason of kottke.org finished the job. 'Fine Hypertext Products,' indeed. Sweeet.
Another Friday night in front of the PC, being my web geeky, antisocial self. Good things do come out of my nerdishness though...new layouts for instance. I'm gettin re-acquainted with my old friends Notepad and PSP. Stay tuned.

Thursday, March 29

My mind has officially been blown. Good stuff.

Wednesday, March 28

I'm gonna be walking around singing 'Want You Bad' for the rest of eternity now. The Offspring did a sweet job on that one.
You want links? I don't just have links...I got the Barenaked Chatter. You know you love us.

Thursday, March 22

Ooh. This is too, too good.
Back to the Guster obsession. On their website they posted footage of Ryan and Adam (of Guster fame) heaving a couch over a balcony onto a large pile of pillows. 'Oh, yeah, the blanket! That'll make all the difference in the world...you taping this, Brian?'

Wednesday, March 21

The seconds pass slowly, the years go flying by, you gotta stop the bus and get off here...
KATE! If you're reading this, send me some mail.
So, nothing's new. Enjoy your lives, as I'm doing mine.

Tuesday, March 20

OK. Postive proof that I am the biggest font geek that ever walked the earth: The other night I spent a good hour hunting down the font that's on the cover of BNL's 'Maroon'. If that wasn't heavenly enough, I found one called RabbitEars that I'd been looking for forever. Although...the first font meant more to me because it was on my favourite band's album cover. I'm a music geek too...would I be a music-and-font geek, or maybe a musical font geek? (I have a little too much free time...) For other musical font geeks...the font's called Bauhaus Medium, and the scrolly font is called English111 Presto BT. Both can be found here.

Monday, March 19

Oh yeah. The highlight of the day: Jen let me play her bass guitar today. OK. More like I tried to play it. The wannabe rock star that I am, I was thrilled. Next time I'm going to ask her how to play a C on it. I figure that's a start...
She moved like an angel, she spoke like a memory, she smoked like a chimney, and she completed Dragon's Lair on just one quarter.
I decided to postpone my math homework and write a story for crush.nu instead. (Killing two birds with one stone...I should do this more often.) School sucked, as usual. Keep checking here, I'll tell you my reaction if they post it.

Saturday, March 17

Yep, I've returned from Disney World, where everything is scripted, everything else is expensive, and I had only my family to converse with all week. No, it really wasn't that bad, aside from the fact that...well, my suitcase got left at home. Right now I'm kinda forcing myself to write, so I'll be back later.
Go visit the multi-language chain translator. It's hours of fun. Trust me. It takes whatever text you enter in, translates it 5 times and then gives you the end result. It's a riot. If you want something really good, enter in lyrics from BF5's 'For Those Of Y'all Who Wear Fanny Packs' and knock yourself out.

Saturday, March 10

Too scared to run away, now everybody's safe, start it all over again, believe me...
Viva la Guster! *sigh* How I love those guys. The tickets for their performance in Pontiac go on sale today. And I can't go. Why? Because I saw Barenaked Ladies last September.
The really serious Gusteroids must be looking at this site in disgust right now.
So...nothing's new. I'm listening to stuff on Napster and contemplating my latest hobby: serial crushing. My friends call it stalking. Then again, they have warped taste in guys. They only go for 'hot'. What's that? Half the female population does that? Well, then half the female population has warped taste in guys.

Friday, March 9

Would you choose water over wine, hold the wheel and drive?
The March break is sneaking up...ever so slowly...yesterday my mom and dad made the resevations..at Disney World! Rock on! My little brother is going to meet Winnie The Pooh...*sniff* And I'm going to eat imitation ethnic cuisine and buy keychains which I'll lose within a day. Oh, what a grand week it will be. Seriously, I'm so hyped up about this. Missing Jen's birthday on Saturday (or should I say, not getting invited to Jen's birthday on Saturday) doesn't seem so bad. And in June when I turn 14 I'm inviting a ton of people. Partay on, dude.
I wish Ben at Font-a-licious would make just one more font before I leave...

Thursday, March 8

Today was nothing new, just walked around and pretended to be invisible. That was actually the most interesting thing that happened: I got bored with having nobody to talk to, so I headed through the halls of my school (this is during lunch hour, so you know I'm not skipping class or anything) in my 'invisble' state of mind. It's a hobby, I guess. Nobody pays me any attention, which some days is a good thing. (Don't get me wrong, I love being the center of attention...it's just that half the time I'm not. I found an alternative.) I just cruise the halls, observing whatever's going on. It's kind of empowering. Try it. Or, visit crush.nu.

Saturday, March 3

Allright, I doubt anyone's going to read this bit of...blogishness...for a bit, so I'll welcome myself. Welcome, Natalia, welcome to the happy world of Blogger.
I was inspired by the amazing Guster to start my own blog, and since I had a website at pitas.com which I haven't updated for the past six months, what better way to motivate myself back onto the web?
Anyway, I'll have to make myself a new layout...I won't be staying with the template for long.
